Chapter Introduction

The Mid Atlantic Chapter comprises loadmasters from North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Originally chartered in 1998, the chapter has been headquartered at Pope AFB since our inception. We have a diverse membership including loadmasters from AMC, AFRC, AFSOC, SOCOM, Retirees, Separated, and Civilians. Experience ranges anywhere from a 1957 loadmaster school graduation with over 15,000 hours to some of the most recent technical training graduates still getting their local area checks.

Mid-Atlantic Chapter Latest News

I guess the biggest event here has been the transition from Pope AFB to our new ownership by Ft Bragg and the name change to Pope Field that took place on 1 Mar 2011. After a pretty lengthy layoff, the Mid Atlantic Chapter had it's most recent meeting on 25 Feb 2011. We were pleased to have a great turnout amongst both current members and some new faces that we hope to see as new members in the coming months. The meeting comprised some excellent issues affecting our chapter and a few good fund raising & fellowship opportunities. Elections for the executive committee will take place at our next meeting on 25 Mar 11, nominations are open now and are being accepted now through 25 March @ 1200.
