LOGO COLORS: The background colors of red, white, and blue are taken from the colors of the flag of the United States of America. The division lines and border shall be black to call our attention to the memory of our fellow Loadmasters that have gone before us. The gold lines defining the symbol representing aircrew members wings stand for honor and loyalty.

PLA PATCH: The Professional Loadmaster Association patch exemplifies the global nature of the duties of the professional loadmaster. Incorporating our logo of the PLA triangle centered on wings, the sky, earth, circling aircraft, and airdrop of supplies, the patch captures the essence of the association and its’ members.

THE LIGATURE: The ligature or wording on the device consists of a logo of the association's name "Professional Loadmaster Association" set in Times New Roman Bold. The year "1997" is also set in Times New Roman Bold depicting the Articles of Incorporation approved by the State of Washington in March 1997. It was in this year that the State of Washington issued a Certificate of Incorporation declaring the Professional Loadmaster Association a non-profit organization.

THE ELEMENTS: The primary elements of the logo are the PLA logo, the earth, the sky, circling aircraft, and supplies being airdropped. The PLA logo resting on top of the globe with planes circling represents our worldwide association and also loadmasters who have traveled around the world. The parachutes represent the airdrop of supplies, which is a part of the duties loadmasters perform. The globe and sky are encircled with the association's name, "Professional Loadmaster Association" and the year, 1997, that it was incorporated.

MOTTO: The PLA has two mottoes. They may be used separately or combined. They are
